 The deadline is near to submit scholarship applications for the 2010-11 school year.  The Sustainer Legacy Fund is providing two (2) scholarships for $3,000.00 each to women who are returning to school after a break in their educations.

  The applicant must:

 1                    Be a woman with ties to the Yakima area who is at least 25 years of age by the start of the 2010-11 school year and who has had a significant break in her education following high school graduation.

 2                    Be currently enrolled and pursuing an associate, bachelor, vocational-technical or graduate degree.

 3        Be planning on a career in the Yakima Valley following graduation.

 4        Demonstrate financial need.

 5        Report back to the Junior League in the fall of the following year.

 Applications must be postmarked by April 15, 2010.
