Our focus in this cookbook is the four seasons, rejoicing in their great offerings as well as the flavors they bring to the plate. 

Spring in the Yakima Valley brings the return of cool, sunny days and the temptations of Chunky Asparagus Chutney and Grilled Mustard Pork Chops with Two - Tomato Salsa. 

In summer, the Sunday Market in Yakima is the place to find sweet cherries, crisp cucumbers, plump peaches, organic lettuce and much, much more.  Summer also brings Artichoke Bruschetta and Raspberry Streusel Muffins.

Crisp red, green, and yellow peppers are harvested, in the fall, along with pumpkins, melons, and zucchini.  Mornings begin with Pumpkin Bread and days end with tummies warmed by Autumn Harvest Soup.

Pears, wine grapes, hearty potatoes, and winter squash conclude the final growing season in Washington's Yakima Valley.  Plates remain bountiful with Apple and Pear Salad with Orange Vinaigrette and Pear and Salmon Salad with Lemon Dressing.
